If your child sees a private GP more than three times a year — which is realistic for younger children with coughs, colds, ear infections and tummy bugs — the membership pays for itself. Based on Niva's published fees, a year of equivalent care (annual health check + 6 GP visits) is from £590 versus £468 on the membership. You also get priority same-day access when your child is actually unwell, plus free prescriptions and free school sickness letters.
Yes. We hold same-day slots for members and offer face-to-face, video and telephone consultations Monday to Saturday, including evenings (until 7pm on most weekdays). If a slot isn't available, you'll be offered the next earliest time, usually within 24 hours.
Not at all. The Child Membership runs alongside your child's NHS GP — it's a faster, more personalised option for when you don't want to wait. Many of our families use Niva for acute issues and keep the NHS for vaccinations and longer-term referrals.
Yes. All Niva GPs are GMC-registered and active NHS GPs. Dr Bhavika Vagani holds a specialist Diploma in Child Health, and Dr Nirav Varsani and Dr Farhana Qureshi both have hospital Paediatrics speciality training. The clinic is registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC Registration: 1-20293850094).
Yes — school sickness letters and absence notes are included in the Child Membership at no extra cost. We can issue them at the appointment or send them to you by email afterwards.
Memberships run for an initial 12-month period, billed monthly at £39 (so £468 over the year). That guarantees your child priority GP access for a full year. After the 12 months, you can cancel any time. If you need to discuss changing your circumstances within the initial 12-month period, please get in touch with us — we'll always try to help.
You'll get an automatic 10% discount on any additional GP appointments and on in-clinic investigations (blood, urine and stool tests). Free repeat prescriptions, sick notes, specialist referrals and school letters continue throughout your 12-month membership regardless.
Each Child Membership covers one child. If you have multiple children, take a look at our Family Membership — covers up to 5 family members (2 adults + 3 children) with 25 shared appointments a year and adults' annual health checks included.
Child Members get free specialist referrals included. We can refer to trusted private specialists, send routine NHS referrals back via your NHS GP, or refer urgent suspected cancer cases directly to your local hospital — whichever route is right for your child. You'll also receive 10% off any additional in-clinic investigations we run (blood, urine and stool tests).
